The lynx screwed them self when the didn't pick MCcarville in the dispersal draft.

New York's JANEL McCARVILLE Named 2007 WNBA Most Improved Player..

New York Liberty center Janel McCarville has been named the 2007 WNBA Most Improved Player, the league announced today. McCarville received 33 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. Sacramento Monarchs forward Rebekkah Brunson finished second with seven votes and Liberty guard Loree Moore finished third with two votes.

After the Liberty chose her with the third selection overall in the Charlotte Sting Dispersal Draft this past January, McCarville enjoyed a breakout season and helped engineer a dramatic turnaround as the Liberty rebounded from its worst season in franchise history to earn a berth in the 2007 WNBA Playoffs.

To be fair to them, they were able to parlay that dispersion pick from a trade to Lindsay Harding so I can't complain. The Lynx are clueless, but this kinda paid off. They gave away that pick to get a good player.

Janel has had a great year and good to see her do well too. She played great tonight in a shocking win against the Shock.

I would take Janel over Harding any day. As arrogant as Harding is she'll never be as good as Whalen.

This is the first time I know about Harding being arrogant. I never sense that at her. If anything, I thought she was too timid at times this year.

I did not expect much from Harding this year. She just played college hoops few months ago. It takes a toll on your body when you have played ball for four months which is one reason why I am not crazy about the WNBA letting college players play right away after their season. They need to take a one year off.

Her approach on the ROY award I have found very arrogant. I think their are other deserving rookies that should get the award now that she was out with a injury.

Did she really got the Rookie of the Year? WOW! I am not that big of a WNBA fan to be obessessed about these awards, but I have to agree that she probably did not deserve it. With that said, which player do you think deserve it. I don't know much about the league to find out. I only follow the Lynx and that's it so it's hard for me to give you an opinion on it.

As for her being arrogant, well, you can't change a person's personality. A person is who he or she is. I can be pereceived as a arrogant person if someone got to know me. It's just the way it is.

No they haven't give that award out yet. I just saying she still thinks she deserves it when their other rookie they should get it before since she went out with a injury.

Here's her qoute:

"I do not want to come off as cocky or arrogant yet my performance speaks for itself. I will miss 12 regular season games and Vince Carter missed nearly triple the games I did as a first year player still earned NBA rookie of the year based on being the best. My view is that I do not want to be counted out when the votes are tallied. Do I think I deserve it- absolutely".

I think Price (Sky) should get it. She's amazing player to watch expect when their playing my team the Sun.
